Kuala Lumpur, 18 July 2008 - Popular reality TV show My Starz LG is about to embark on its new season, scouting for potential stars between the ages 18 to 25 years to take part in the one-of-its-kind reality program.
The reality show will be starting auditions at Tebrau City in Johor Bahru on 26th and 27th July 2008, 2nd and 3rd August 2008 at Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang, and 9th and 10th August 2008 at Cineleisure Damansara, Selangor. In East Malaysia, auditions will be held at One Borneo in Kota Kinabalu on the 16th and 17th of August 2008 and 23rd and 24th August 2008 at the Boulevard, Kuching.
After the nationwide search, shortlisted contestants will then compete at the Malaysian Tourism Centre (MATIC) in Kuala Lumpur from which 12 contestants will move on to perform for the weekly episodes at Dewan Majlis Bandar Shah Alam infront of their fans and an exclusive panel of judges. This year, My Starz LG will contain a total of 15 episodes, with the grand finale concert to be held at Merdeka Hall in PWTC.

Our My Starz LG programme last year was a huge success as some of the finalists from last year’s competition have moved on to launch albums. The selected participants will receive tutoring and professional advice as well as training support from mentors made up of Malaysia’s top performers and producers. This team of talented mentors were handpicked to ensure that the My Starz LG contestants receive the very best training.
The winner of the My Starz LG competition stands to win RM 100,000 cash, LG products, and a recording contract and stardom.
